This is a first interview with Siegfried Othmer discussing the topic of the so called Infra Low Frequency Neurofeedback-one the most remarkable method of brain training that is changing the field of mental health. Siegfried is a scientist and a well known pioneer of Neurofeedback who was working togehter with his wife and neurobiologist Sue Othmer on developing a revolutionary new approach , which is not called Othmer method or Infra Low Frequency Neurofeedback. The method is now used by thousands of practitioners all around the world. The inerview was recorded on the 30 th of Augist 2023 by Rustam Yumash from the Brain MInd & Memory Institute in collaboration with Neuroscientist Olga Kara from Finland. She adopted neurofeedback in 1997 after experiencing profound and unexpected responses to it for herself. She has developed several protocols specifically to quiet the fear-driven brain and has written numerous articles and case studies demonstrating the effectiveness of neurofeedback when used in conjunction with trauma therapy. She is presently in private practice where she provides neurofeedback, psychotherapy and consultation, and offers training nationally and internationally.
